Cliff’s expertise lies in the areas of Impaired Risk Underwriting for Life Insurance, Business Continuation Planning for Small Business Owners and Long Term Care Insurance planning.
He began his career after earning a B.S.B.A. in Banking and Finance, as well as Real Estate and Mortgage Finance from Mississippi State University in 1989. In his first sales position (with Mass Mutual in Columbus, MS), he earned several recognitions including the “Fast Start Award”, “Freshman Leader” and both Agency and District “Rookie of the Year” in 1989 and 1990.
In 1990 he completed his Series 6 and Series 63 licenses and became a Unit Manager for Mass Mutual.
In 1991, Cliff moved to Jackson, MS and opened a District Office for Mass Mutual and hired 7 new Sales Associates.
In 1992, Cliff left Mass Mutual and began his career within the Brokerage General Agency industry with Mississippi Insurance Brokerage as a Brokerage Manager.
In 1993 Cliff began a structured buy out of his former partner at Mississippi Insurance Brokerage.
By 1999, Cliff was a Senior Partner of Mississippi Insurance Brokerage and merged his company with Producers Marketing Group to form what is known today as Insurance Solutions Group, Inc.
Since he began his career in Brokerage 25 years ago, Cliff has earned the trust of hundreds of agents throughout the nation in taking care of all of their life insurance, long term care insurance and annuity needs. He strives to continue nurturing those existing relationships and to build even more.

Insurance Solutions Group is proud to have Brenda McLeod on the ISG Team. With over 30 years of experience in the life insurance industry, Brenda handles ISG's Licensing and Policyholder Services. We know that she will be an asset to our team, as she makes getting contracted with our various carriers a smooth process for you.
Emily's career in insurance began in 1998 with Insurance Solutions Group. She was trained by Cliff Young to work in every department of the agency including sales assistance, licensing, case management, policyholder services, and commissions. She continued to work in multiple departments and assist where needed, while keeping relationships with our agents her priority. In 2008, she became a permanent member of the Sales/Marketing team. As a Sales Coordinator, her #1 priorities have been quoting cases, keeping our agents informed, and maintaining those relationships which are so important to our agency.
Wendy Bruce initially joined ISG in September of 2006 as Executive Assistant to Cliff Young. At that time, she worked on projects, managed large cases, ran monthly production reports, and was an integral part of putting together and hosting the first ISG Tournament of Champions. This Tournament has now become an annual event for ISG.
After working at ISG for 7 years, she left for a brief time to work as an agency manager in the medical supply field. Wendy returned to ISG in July of 2016 and holds the positions of Agency Manager and Commissions Specialist.
Erica has over 4 years of experience working in the role of office manager and case manager for a local independent life insurance advisor. Erica resides in Richland with her husband, Jason, and two daughters.
ISG is excited to announce the addition of Rebecca Upshaw to the ISG team as Marketing Director. After graduating from Mississippi College with a public relations degree she went to work as an account manager with EdgeTheory, a social media start-up. She gained experience working with brands such as Neiman Marcus, Match.com, Metropolitan Bank, and more. She then took a job as marketing coordinator for Nicholas Air, a private air travel company in Columbus, MS. There, she coordinated events, developed marketing materials, maintained the website, and managed social media platforms. Rebecca is thrilled to be back in Ridgeland and to join the ISG family.
Rebecca will have numerous responsibilities, including more up to date product news and sales ideas delivered to our advisors on a regular basis, along with website enhancement to www.isgi.biz. Michael H. McGraw, CLU, ChFC is a 1988 Graduate of Mississippi State University with a Bachelors in Business Administration. In January 1989, he began his career with The Connecticut Mutual Life Insurance Company, marketing Life - Disability & Annuity products, working through the Property & Casualty files of his family owned agency, McGraw Insurance Agency, Inc. During the first two years with Connecticut Mutual, he received 1989 Rookie of the Year and 1990 Young Agent of the Year with the Jackson Mississippi General Agency. He also received sales AND service Awards from a number of brokerage companies. During the three-year period of 1990 -1992, McGraw produced 106 consecutive weeks of life application submissions.
In 1995, he became a partner with his father (Joseph P. “Pat” McGraw) and brother (William F. McGraw, CIC) at McGraw Insurance Agency, Inc. Early in his tenure with the family agency he served as the Managing Partner of McGraw Life & Health Ins. Services, a marketing arm for the marketing, sales & service of Life, Disability, Medical, & Group Benefit Plans for both Individuals and Businesses.
Beginning in 1995, the partners began expanding McGraw Insurance Agency, Inc with the purchase of Yazoo Insurance Agency, Inc. In 2002, Yazoo Insurance Agency, Inc made another acquisition with the purchase of Barnwell & Barbour Insurance, Inc. Then, in January 2011, Yazoo Insurance Agency, Inc became an ‘Associate Agency” of SouthGroup Insurance Services. In 2012, Michael was named VP/Sec Treasurer of “The Yazoo Agency” of SouthGroup Insurance Services.
Over the past 28 Years, McGraw has worked with clients of a Property & Casualty Agency to implement Insurance Protection Programs that are specifically designed to meet the needs of both individual and business customers. Expertise include working with both individual and business clients (in conjunction with the clients CPA & Attorney if needed) in the following areas: INDIVIDUALS: Family Survivorship Needs - Legacy Planning - Income Protection Plans. BUSINESS: Business Continuation Plans - Key-Man - Disability Buy-Out.
Michael maintains the American College professional designations of CLU (Chartered Life Underwriter) & ChFC (Chartered Financial Consultant). These professional designations indicate a commitment to professional knowledge and continued education which far exceeds basic licensing and educational requirements for insurance professionals. In addition, he holds the Series 6, Series 63 and Series 65.
He is a resident of Rankin County, married to Laura Black McGraw, PT (Jackson, MS). They have three children: Hamel, Ian and Piper.
